The Daily 5 Fostering Literacy Independence in the Elementary Gradesby Gail Boushey and Joan Moser
The Daily 5 is a student-driven management structure designed to fully engage students in reading and writing. As the authors say, this structure does not present an entire literacy curriculum, but it helps students develop independent literacy habits so the teacher is free to work with individuals and small groups of students.
This wiki will be used as a collaborative space for Manson Northwest Webster elementary teachers as they study, explore, share, and reflect on the Daily 5 structure.
For the Daily 5 book study, I have organized the wiki pages according to the seven chapters of the book.
To post a response, 1) click on a chapter at the left, 2) next click on the Discussion tab at the top, 3) then click on New Post, then title it and type in your response, and last, 4) click on the Post button. If everyone responds this way, all comments can be seen in the same format.
